
Hi, I'm Angelene Wong, a researcher, performance artiste, and PhD student. My creative and research interests lie in the intersection between fashion and performance, led by my experiences in the fashion industry and as a dancer.

Born in Singapore, Angelene Wong holds a MA in Fashion Studies from The New School, Parsons Paris. She has been trained in dance from a young age and performs professionally. Combining this with her research in fashion, she is driven by the central question regarding meanings and values of the body in performance spaces. She is currently pursuing a PhD at Nanyang Technological University with the NTU Research Scholarship.
Angelene has delivered lectures at Nanyang Technological University and Lasalle College of the Arts. Her work and experiences have been profiled by Love, Bonito and Vogue Singapore, where her expertise has also been called upon. She is the co-author of Fashion, Identity, Image (2022).
